Steinsland power plant is the largest of BKK’s power plants in the Modalsvassdraget, and Stølsvatnet is the inlet magazine for the power plant.

The stone filling pond is the largest in BKK’s facility with a height of 52 meters. The water collection for the power plant is mainly done by means of two transmission tunnels, which can also be called gutter tunnels. One in the north and west, with Stølsvatnet as the central magazine, and one in the south leading the streams into the operating tunnel.
