08.11.2024: NLI strengthens the position in the Swedish West coast

Scandinavian Enviro Systems and Antin Infrastructure Partners announced in spring 2023 the formation of a joint venture (JV) supported by Michelin to create the world’s first large-scale tire recycling group.

Enviro and Antin Infrastructure Partners is to establish the world’s first large-scale recycling group in Europe, supported by Michelin tires. The joint venture targets a 1,000,000 ton annual end-of-life tire recycling capacity by 2030 – around 1/3 of European supply. The first full-scale commercial plant is under construction in Uddevalla, Sweden, with initial capacity to recycle 34,500 tons of disposed tires, equal to 40% of the annual volume of end-of-life-tires in Sweden.

After taking part in a bid process for 1,5 years, NLI finally signed a contract for the E&I works. Construction works started November 2024, fully scale expected during Q1-25. Handover late 2025.

The work includes industrial E&I works.
Calculated number of man hours is 22 000 in addition to management. Overall contract value some 40 MNOK.
This is an important project for both Enviro and NLI. Our client has a strong focus on HSE, quality and project execution and we are sure NLI can deliver to their expectations. We are proud of getting clients’ trust. Our common goal is to deliver on schedule, quality and budget says Olav Bolseth, Managing Director of NLI Elektrosystemer as.
